JPSQ @ MIT: Digital Environments

April 24 @ 7:00 pm

Works for saxophone and electronics that explore our world through a digital filter. Highlights of the program include a world premiere by Ian Wiese, incorporating source recordings from NASA, and a collaborative work for saxophone quartet and the MIT Laptop Ensemble, directed by Ian Hattwick, which will explore climate change and adaptations in New England. This program takes inspiration from the painting Chain Reaction (2017) by artist Jackson Gregory.

This project is funded by the Council for the Arts at MIT and will be featured as a part of the Cambridge Science Festival.
